Carara National Park / Tarcoles River
Carara National Park is the only transitional forest in CR. The convergence of humid and dry forests result in a diverse population of flora and fauna, especially rich in bird life. The Tarcoles River is home to one of the world's largest crocodile populations. We can see them from the bridge above or on a river boat tour.
Located ~1 hour from San José.
On the way to Jacó & Punta Leona.
